Inspirational Individual Categories
Innovator of the Year
This category is open to individuals who have played a leading role in modernising the UK real estate industry. We are looking for genuine innovation that has contributed towards the breaking down of barriers that women face in the real estate workplace. The winner will have in a definable way broken new ground in areas such as process, strategy or technology. Judges will be looking for examples of thinking outside the box, plus evidence of the difference it is making to your business/organisation. For example, have you actively redesigned the nature of certain jobs or qualifications to attract women? Have you introduced agile working, networking or advocacy? If so, we want to hear from you!
Leader of the Year – Commercial
Women now represent the majority of the real estate workforce but are still poorly represented in senior roles. Some sectors, such as residential, have seen an influx of women leaders in recent years while others, such as commercial real estate, are still dominated by men. This award will recognise an individual who has displayed superlative leadership ability in this era of change. Role-agnostic, this award will go to an inspirational mentor or coach who, as an example to others, has raised standards of excellence across the UK commercial real estate sector.

Mentor of the Year
It is widely accepted that property must broaden its intake of new recruits beyond white public school educated sons and daughters of those already in the industry, however there are many obstacles to overcome from these wider routes into the property sector, and even more to be found when building a progressive career pathway.
This category requires entrants to focus on a specific example of mentorship in action and the award will recognise the vital importance of mentoring the next generation of talent in real estate. The winner will have impacted others to be the best they can be, to overcome obstacles, transcend social barriers and achieve their full potential.
Returner of the Year
This award highlights the challenges associated with returning to work following maternity leave or a career break.
The winner will have succeeded in the UK real estate sector having in the previous two years returned to work. The judges will be looking for results and the impact the winner has had on their organisation since returning to the workplace. It is hoped that her actions will provide an example of best practice for those who wish to return in the future.
