Q) What differentiates a good entry from an exceptional one?

A) When reading the stories behind successful women in the industry, passion always stands out. Entries need to read well of course but they also need to be authentic. We want to see the personality of the entrant and understand what drives, motivates and inspires them.

Q) Why do you think awards like this are important for the industry?

A) With an array of categories, the Inspiring Women In Property Awards are designed to celebrate achievement at a time when diversity is increasingly welcomed and encouraged by the real estate sector. They are important not just for the platform they give the winners and finalists, but for the wider industry, so we can continue on a course of continual improvement. As the founder of a PR consultancy, I know first-hand the value of awards for the finalists and their companies – recognition among your peers, celebrated for excellence, profile and visibility of your achievements, and the opportunity to become a champion for innovation and improvement.

Q) Why is it crucial for the next generation of property professionals to see these stories in the spotlight?

A) For the property industry to thrive, we need the ideas, opinions and input of people who are representative of society as a whole. This includes women. The industry has made great strides in gender diversity and sharing these success stories can only help accelerate equality, diversity and inclusion. This, in turn, will enrich our sector, enabling it to have a more positive impact and lasting legacy.
