Q) Why is it crucial for the next generation of property professionals to see these stories in the spotlight?

A) Representation drives belief – particularly for women in an industry where senior leadership hasn’t always reflected that diversity.

Showcasing real stories of women succeeding in property challenges outdated views around who leads and how. It not only inspires the next generation, but gives them a clearer, more tangible sense that there is a place for them, and that they don’t need to fit a “traditional” mould to succeed.

Q) Why do you think awards like this are important for the industry?

A) Awards like this are important because they shine a light on the depth and breadth of female talent across the property sector, and there really is an awful lot of this.

They help redefine what success looks like—going beyond financial performance to recognise leadership, impact and the role women are playing in shaping the future of our industry. Crucially, they create visibility: when people can see others like them succeeding, it becomes far easier to believe that they can too—and that’s what ultimately drives real, lasting change.

Q) Beyond individual success, how much weight do you give to those who are actively lifting others up or mentoring the next generation?

A) For me, it carries a huge amount of weight.

I’ve seen first-hand how powerful it is when someone takes the time to support, mentor or simply open a door for you—particularly for women in an industry where those opportunities haven’t always been equal. It can genuinely change the trajectory of a career.

The people who stand out most are those who don’t just succeed themselves, but make a conscious effort to bring others with them. That’s what builds a stronger pipeline of female leadership—and ultimately creates a more balanced and resilient industry.
