Q)  How has this award impacted your visibility or influence in the property sector?

A) I was overwhelmed by the numerous txts and emails received from clients, contacts and colleagues -current and former- and the CMS congratulations. It has been a fantastic celebration of the power of Networks in which I remain a firm believer. Although there are individual winners, the collective ‘warm feeling’ and sense of all working together, is amazing through both WIP and IWIP.

Q) What motivated you to enter the Inspiring Women in Property Awards?

A) I was nominated by the Association of Women in Property, completely unexpectedly and as a thank you for chairing their Board for the last 8 years. During that time (Including COVID), the Association had a wholescale strategy and membership review, increased to 1400 UK wide members, and transitioned from a voluntary association to a limited company, with central executive, IT and accountancy support. Throughout this process, run entirely by volunteers, I was inspired by the enthusiasm and commitment of everyone involved -all passionate about Property, EDI and being their best.

Q) Who was the first person in your career who made you believe you could reach the top?

A) Former Women in Property Chair and Partner at Cushman & Wakefield, Joanna Embling- my unofficial mentor who encouraged me to step up!
