EDI Team of the Year
For true workplace inclusiveness, we have to look at diversity in its widest sense – acknowledging that someone’s gender, race, class, age and other characteristics interconnect to make us unique.
This award puts the spotlight on the teams who are driving change within their businesses to create more inclusive working environments within the UK property industry. Through addressing topics such as career pathways, staff retention, training and education, organisational culture, mentorship, coaching or wellbeing, these teams will be able to demonstrate evidence of impact throughout their organisation.
EDI Champion of the Year
This award will go to the individual who has made the most outstanding impact in their contribution to EDI within the real estate sector. This award is open to professionals who are either successfully leading diverse, sustainable, and equitable organisations or team members who have made an individual contribution to the enhancement of EDI, in any capacity.
Judges will be assessing the level of impact – but bigger does not necessarily mean better – small initiatives that show influential change within a single organisation will be considered stronger entries than larger or longer initiatives that cannot demonstrate significant results.
EDI Programme of the Year
This award will go to the organisation which can be seen to have most successfully promoted EDI and made a real effort to drive change within its business in the last 12 months.
Has your business been particularly innovative in its HR activities? Is it working on adapting its culture and behaviours to create more gender balance? If you have an initiative that is championing a more diverse, inclusive and equal workplace, then we want to hear from you.
Judges will be looking to see the results of the initiative and its impact on the business or the wider community. This may be a longer programme – for example a recruitment programme – or a single initiative.
Social Mobility Initiative of the Year
This award will go to the UK real estate organisation that has most successfully promoted equailty, diversity, and inclusion related to social mobility. This may be a longer programme – for example a recruitment programme – or a single initiative.
Have you introduced a new initiative that’s designed to help you recruit from a wider pool of candidates? Or adapted internal processes to help support the progress of existing employees from all backgrounds more effectively? Have you made more effort developing your employer brand or made major changes to hybrid working to create a more inclusive workplace?
Judges will be looking to see the results of the initiative and its impact on the business or the wider community, with demonstrable evidence that individuals from all walks of life are able to benefit from the initiative, ensuring social barriers no longer hold people back.
Gender Equality Initiative of the Year
The real estate industry has the highest disparity between the proportion of women in the higher paid salaries and the rest of the workforce. We know there is a growing commitment to address this, and other gender inequalities, across all sectors and we want to hear about the initiatives that are underway and the positive progress being made.
Has your business adopted a more proactive and structured approach when recruiting? Have you set up a diversity task force or appointed diversity managers? Your entry may relate to issues and topics such as pay-gap, women’s wellness or be life stage related. If you are tackling any of these areas and can demonstrate your strategy and progress, we want to hear from you.
Judges will be looking to see the results of the initiative and its impact on the business or the wider community. This may be a longer programme – for example a recruitment programme – or a single initiative.
Mental Health and Wellbeing Initiative of the Year
This award will go to the UK real estate organisation that has most successfully promoted equality, diversity, and inclusion related to mental health and wellbeing. This may be a longer programme or a single initiative.
Have you implemented networking or other activities that promote inclusive wellbeing practices within organisation? Do your company benefits transcend gender, race, class, age and other characteristics to ensure true equality across the organisation? Have you introduced new working practices that support the mental wellbeing of your employees and reflect the diversity of your workforce?
Judges will be looking to see the results of the initiative and its impact on the business or the wider community, with demonstrable evidence that individuals from all walks of life are able to benefit from the initiative, ensuring social barriers no longer hold people back.
